Hi All,
At the end of the season, how many bikes come up for sale and how much do they approx. cost?
was wondering how much a 1-2 year old superstock 600 bike would cost, either a CBR or an R6?
Trying to decide whether to wait till end of season or buy one now.
Thanks C

Sometimes money, sometimes marriage, sometimes life.... but it's worth it.

have been looking at this site already, but i can only look back for about 10 weeks. Just wondering if many bikes come up for sale at end of season and approx. cost. I can then compare to now and decide whether to wait to purchase race bike or just bite the bullet and get one now!

Have a look through the For Sale thread since James Spense sells off his machinery, there was a lot recently.
Good move going for an ex race bike too.. they're usually far better looked after than the average trackbike plus they alreadys of the bits on them and worthy of scrutineering.

Might depend on which model you're looking at and whether the following years model will be the same or whole new bike....
ie: you might not pick up any 08 Blades if the 09 is going to be pretty well the same.....
If you're going Super STOCK then you should be able to pick something up around the 10K mark potentially with spares....
I would VERY seriously consider looking for the team that has a few bikes to sell, various spares *make sure you get spare RIMS and Race glass if at all possible* but also alot of the time these teams will allow you to ride at the track, set the bike up etc etc for you included in the cost of purchase...This is probably my regret on buying my bike I guess, Rims, spare glass and inital test ride/setup time.....
Another option, for Stock racing might be checking out auctions and building your own. Considering you can get a 2-3 season old machine for about 7-8K then the auction bike must cost no more than about 3-4K TOPs in order to get race glass, engine covers blah blah blah. Another advantage is you can buy something with trashed road fairings, not able to be registered or whatever which most ppl *cept other racers hahahaha* would not be looking at, they want the cosmetic, easy and cheap repairs and these would be going for more than 3-4K for sure....
Good luck!

Here is an example but my advise is if you have time watch it & if doesn't sell contact seller & offer $8K.
