As long as me and mick don't hurt ourselves doing wheelies earlier in the day we will come up and I will watch the fairly unfair battle of kat00 and dungbeetle:D

I'm looking forward to it but apprehensive at the same time.
Hatter tells me launching is what its all about and that's gunna be my Achilles heel.

you'll be fine Kat00.
it's like all the secret to every other type or riding, smoothness.
you fastest times will be when everything feels like it's happening in slow motion...
it's actually quite mentally challenging and intense... i think you're really going to enjoy yourself....
200 things to remember for the first 60 foot (about 18-20 metres and all over in 1.8-2.0 seconds).... then sail away and get on it for 1280feet....

05-12-2006, 08:59 PM
yeh ive doine it 4 or 5 times now, and i was quickest on my first night...never been as quick since!!!! think it was cause i wasnt really thinking about what i had to do....after the first night i was thinking about ways to go faster and hence went slower!!!:(

well what an interesting afternoon...
obviously i made it home, and without and smoke or fire at all!!!
for those that werent there...my bike decided to have a bit of an oil leak out of the wondowed clutch cover...so it was gettin a little smokey every time i stopped...this didnt bother me overly as the oil usually burns off with a bit of smoke and all is good...but noooooooo, mine decided it wanted to catch on fire while im stopped at some lights...i parked the bike and went running for the shell servo across the road to get an extinguisher. lukkily kat00. hatter and fatcat had some bottles of powerade in their bags and had the fire out by the time i got back, puffing and sweating, with a fire extinguisher!!
looks like i only burnt some wiring and got black shit all over my pretty exhaust system, but at least its not a smouldering mess on the road!! thanx guys for qik thinking and puting it out......

good to hear you got home ok Al, and thanks to everyone for coming out and making the night a great one, and mick, you've only got .1 of a second to catch my P.B now and on your first time ever out there...(bugger), but nah, well done mick and everyone else that got out there to have a go. note to self: put new rear tyre on...lol
oh yeah Al, there isnt going to be a bike night in Jan, the next one is in Feb.

note to self: put new rear tyre on...lol
.
That tyre:eyecrazy:
That would be the best 20 bucks you have ever spent:D
How that wheelie, or should I say 2 wheelies you did off the line just before the burnout comp. It nearly tossed you twice and yet you still managed an 11 flat:confused: :ayyy:
