I'm getting a bit of an order happening with http://www.superbikesupply.com if anyone wants something from them let me know and I'll add it to the order.
Already got BigB who wants Braided lines for his Z1000 and Vesrah brake pads (paying $10 shipping for his parts)
Anyone else?

Jas, I was about to order a Yoshi RS-3 for 04/05 GSXR 750 from the states, could include it your order - may work out cheaper for shipping??
jasonbw

Sure, I'll ask for his price and will write back. Are there details? Carbon? Oval? Stainless? What do I need to know?
Motovated
28-04-2007, 02:36 PM
Forgot to say - S/S (cheapest :ayyy: )
its an oval pipe - not tri oval - price was $245 US + $15
so $260 US

Anyone used MotoMummy? They are another site I know of.
I like the prices the US guys have, just not confident in overseas purchasing (since I've never done it).
Edit - Just doing a price comparison, MotoMummy are cheaper then Superbike Supply...

If you can see how much it will cost for an HJC CL-SP APEX in silver and black XL.
Cheers!

I can ask him Simon but I'd strongly recommend against it as the helmet doesnt have the Aus approval sticker... which can be a PITA if you get pulled up by a pissed off cop, or have an accident with head injuries and they find you werent wearing an approved helmet, ahh just ramblin' no prob either way just let me know.
Hey, there no black and silver one listed, you talking the one thats in the photo? (see attachment)

hey, just gotta question about the helmets.
if ya buy a helmet from O.S, and it has all the other approvals, cant remember what they call em, but anyway, if it has passed all of them, but not the Aus standard, will they allow it on a track?
cause i've never taken notice at scruiteneering if they check for the AS1698 sticker:(
jasonbw
02-05-2007, 09:18 PM
Good question... personally I have no idea about the track... thinking logically motogp and wsbk riders shouldnt have to purchase the same Shoei in India as their UK one has the wrong sticker! Then again insurance companies don't care much for logic. Kellz might know as shes done scruiteneering
MATTK6
02-05-2007, 09:20 PM
that's what i was thinking, but then i thought that, well, they're in the motoGP, so the riders wouldnt have to worry about any of it, cause the factory would take care of it, but it's just a question i've been pondering for some time now, cause alot of the helmets i like, arent here in australia, and i aint gonn bring 30of em in so they can smash 29 of them:cursing:

I just saw Dilbee rides with a US spec helmet?? Maybe ask if he's ever got hassles over it ?
The price is on his site, www.superbikesupply.com he might give a small discount though? I'm still waiting on his response.. man, maybe I should ditch buying this lot from him and quote it up from that mob Dungy suggested.

i got my preload adjusters from work. a great big shifter!!:D
jasonbw
08-05-2007, 08:51 AM
I found a nice way of adjusting preload without marking the nice anodised coating (which I had destroyed on the stock CBR forks, and didnt want the Ohlins to go through the same fate), put zip lock bag over the adjustor before putting the socket over it... if its too thick its not good as the socket is too tight to fit, find one that fits over but doesnt make you go up one size in socket.
Best yet (although messy), have a roll of sticky tape in the garage, run one layer of tape around the adjustor and you wont get a single scratch on the coating.

I got it from Ebay, they usually go for $135 US but managed to find one from oneida suzuki a little cheaper. They dont ship to Australia so I had it shipped to my uncle who has some other stuff for me. I requested a total twice and they filed a non paying bidder
I ended up with the carbon one, the normal one looks a little cheap and while I hate carbon look crap, it looks better made

Point him to the 1000rr.net forum, where the site owner is the superbikesupply place... everyone over there straight away replies to any purchase like question saying they should contact the superbikesupply place.. works fantastic for the owner, generates a LOT of business.
But tell him he has to pay for the privelidge :)

You guys should try Hard Racing. Over the last two years i have made 5 or 6 orders and never had a problem getting quick replies and prompt service and deliveries. They dont do international credit card orders just wire transfers but have never had a problem. Once they have received the transfer they ship it out and its here in 3 days, then customs usually holds for a week the barstards.
At least have a look at the site, check each thing out seperatly or chose your bike and see everything they have for it.

Ok, I got my gel seat the other day. Pushing it by hand it feels the same, but sitting on it feels a bit better. I havent ridden the bike so I cant tell you how much better my ass feels.
Feels a touch heavier then the stock item
It feels a little higher and is wider then the stock one, so if your short, be prepared for tippy toes. The seat feels a little bulky between the legs then before.
Not sure on seating position, but feels a little higher at the back. Foot position shouldnt change much.
So far, im going to have to say that for long rides it will be fitted. For track days and blasts around sydney, I will want the stock seat as its thinner, less padded so I will be able to feel the bike sliding around.
I will update at a later date when I get some saddle time. Probably not this weekend as im going to skirmish on Saturday and might be raining/tired/sore on sunday.
For me, I might have been better off with one of the strap on ones you can get from MCA's (not sure how much they are) considering how far and few full day rides are becoming- I blame my mates
Attached pic's so you can see the difference.
