Hello All

I thought I would keep you all posted on my preperation for the 6 hourin November!!. Sounds pretty easy hmmmmm, Some of you may know that I used to race a 400, Well this time Gary and myself are going to ride my road bike 2005 GSXR 1000 :ayyy::confused1:. This plan came to us last Thursday night After working at Craig Whites tyre Service and maybe a few beers

First Stage is to race on the weekend in the St George Series. I let my Senior national expire in FEB. (rush rush rush) So I called Jan at St George and sorted my membership out and i'm Fixing my senior national licence.:ayyy:

Things To Think about:
-I've never Ridden my 1000 at Oran
-I'm not the quickest fella

Things Done So FAR:
Bike has been Stripped
I've ordered Race glass from Wet 4 You should be picked up tomorrow!!

Things needed:
Engine Covers (hmmm might hit wet 4 you up??)
Spare Wheels
Misc Spares.

Please tell us what you think and any comment/ advice would be gratefully appreciated :mod_smilie_rockwoot
I'll keep you all informed on how it goes.

So Tonight I started Pulling the Bike down.
Pictures coming soon......

You may need a pit crew, fuel chern, spare brake pads, spare clutch & brake levers,
Depending on the class you are running, a few rear wheels & tyres.

6 Hours is a long time, & a few of the favored runners will strike trouble. You dont need to win the race in the first hour, so be steady, smooth, & consistant, & the race will come to you. Treat the bike with respect, short shift will save fuel, & add bugger all to your lap times. If there are faster guys around you dont get drawn into their battles.
Good luck & remember, just keep going..

Me...11.9! was happy with that today on used tyres.

re the 6hour i reckon ill do 14's-15's as to finish first, first you have to finish so your on the right track.Well done

remember Oran is a demanding track ,unlike EC where if you get a good run at say T11-12 at the creek you can drop nearly a second,Oran Pk you really have to find a 10th or two on most corners, its a real racers track and its a buzz to get right,i havent yet, but god its good!
