Hi folks,

At the moment I'm considering getting a cheap little track bike to learn on around the track. Getting the money together at the moment, looking around $2500. Reason being I'm paranoid about dropping the 675 around the track somewhere to the point its just not worth taking it out.

Reckon I could pick up a good basic trackie for that price? I'm not looking at something that can beat people down the straight, just something that I can work on my cornering / body positioning and if I bin it its not the end of the world.

Any suggestions of bikes to look for? I've thinking perhaps and RGV250 or something. Any other suggestions?

How does the plan sound?

Cheers.

The RGV would be tops and you could get an ok one for that money if you look around :ayyy:
I thought about doing the same thing till I stacked my 750 and wrote it off at EC. It is now my Trackie

Pending what type of bike you want though..... body position and all that will be different on another bike if you know what i mean....
Cbr250rr make awsome track bikes, i had one, loads of fun....
aprillia RS250 or RS125 would be great fun aswell....
2500 is kinda limited in what you can get though, have you had a look on fx superbikes/ebay/bikesales/bikepoint and so forth?
