This afternoon i spoke with Shannons Insurance about Insurance Coverage for Circuit Breakers Days, at first they were a bit reluctant to say we would have coverage as 'C B Schools' are more race orientated (Re: the use of transponders to better LAP TIMES.) After a bit of debating, and him going to speak to someone else of greater authority, all he could tell me was that if we sign any type of indemnity form which releases C B Race School from fault then we wouldn't be covered. So...i called James from C B' s and asked him about this so-called indemnity form which he said that the only form we sign is for a 'MA' one day license. Anyway back on the phone once again to speak with 'Chook' from Shannon's (after a short discussion with JasonBW) This time it was a 20 minute call in which I spoke about how we 'Plug' Shannons insurance on the RATS site...........He said that if we are insured with Shannons and have a Certificate of attendance, we are COVERED....Providing CB's School is an accredited Course ???
Okay i just got off the phone with James and he tells me that the C B School is accredited with MA as a motorcycle training body, but added that at the end of the day it is entirely up to the insurance company what happens in the event of a Crash.
And finally if you are insured with Shannons and are going on the 10th, then you should call Shannons and let them know, so they can note it on your policy.
(thanx for ya help JBW)
Hope this helps some of you guys out.
