Beautiful bike, have you seen some of the footage of it on track?

Track footage i have spied on you tube before, but I wouldnt be able to ride it anywhere near that hard! I would be lucky to get under 2mins at the creek, on anything capable of 30's!
I have seen one on the way to work this morning. I have always had a crush on those, but have stayed away from the stealerships, as I might end up buying one... and even though I would love one, do I really need to spend that much on a bike?
Maybe if I get married to a rich chicka, or find a better paying job! :P
Definitely a nice looking bike, nose looks a bit scooterish though.

I did a lot of soul searching about that bike last week when I was there and if I didn't do so many kms I'd have bought it that day. It's supposed to be just right to ride.
For me, it's the prettiest bike available.

These are a little more. circa 35K-40K, from what I have observed. Depending on Km's and condition ofcourse.
Not a cheap bike.

I love them, but no way I could afford it, or ride it. They're quite high so you need to be a bit tall to ride it comfortably.

lol, too true. But I was at Procycles to trade in the busa and the RC8 on what I thought was going to be the S1000RR (nuts bike by the way). And then I was magnetically drawn to the HP2 but sanity prevailed and I ended up buying the Gixxer.
If they keep making them, I'll end up with a HP2 next bike change though

I got to ride a HP2 sport for a weekend back when they were released. Very comfortable sportsbike, the power seems to kick in lower than a V-Twin and red line a lot lower. The bike got the power down very quickly. Ohline suspension with ABS is an option. Loved it!! :ayyy:
Didn't want to hand the keys back on Monday morning :cursing:

Mate I roll my road bikes over every 1 to 2 years and I do about 25,000km a year on average. I'm sick of wearing a huge changeover cost. The Gixxer was about 8k cheaper than the fully loaded S1000RR and I couldn't justify the bang for buck especially when I'm not confident of it's resale value with 40,000-60,000km on the clock in a couple of years. I'd like the traction control and abs but I can live without them on what will be my touring "mule" and for the road the power is insane on both. The HP2 is a different proposition as it'd be a keeper which is why I almost went that way.

Don't worry, I'll still be there on the SDR - I'm about a second or two a lap slower (depending on the track) but you'll still get a good shot at defeating me! :)

I wasn't having a go at you Dean :) I was just curious on after every we spoke about you ended up moving off your 'Mule Busa' on to a smaller bike. I understand the price difference is huge from the S1000RR and the HP2, but it would have been awesome to see either one of them in Bears, specially the HP2!! haha
As for defeating you, I have a long way to go yet!! :) I have been waiting to be a rival to this mysterious ' Dean' that John and Jules have been talking about every since I mentioned I was interested in the RC8, now I have met the 'Dean on the RC8' :)
