Hey all,
on Sunday I took the missus over to Queanbeyan to have a go on the can-am Spyder. You know, the weird trike with the two wheels up front. It takes some getting used to, but what a great machine! We rode the top-of-the-line touring model and the boss said it was very comfy on the pillion seat. It's got plenty of storage space, ABS brakes (which are brilliant!), stability control and traction control, and a 4 speaker stereo, and the pillion gets heated grab rails!
I only went because I knew it was going to be different, and I'm certainly not about to go and buy one, but if I ever fly somewhere on holiday and can hire one to cruise around on, then yeah, I'd grab one instead of a car for sure. They don't try to pressure you into buying- it's more about getting feedback, I think so they can formulate a marketing strategy.
It's a great machine for what it is. Very well engineered and put together. I highly recommend going for a blat if you get the chance.
Wazza.
