This sort of shit really pisses me off. And then to add insult to injury, nothing is done about this situation time and time again!

they can put fuking safety cameras on 100's of locations in the city, and state, continue to BS and scream the speeding kills campaign about, but how fuking hard would it be to set up cameras on each overpass, with software that identifies this activity!? Since its too expensive to have someone watching these locations live.

These low life fuks should be strung up by their testicles, along with the MP's, top cops, etc, who only know the speeding argument.

Fuken k*&ts.

This shit's been going on in brissie for years, my local bus has a security escort whne they go through certain suburbs. I'll volunteer to watch the sites :warning:.

They've had to install solid barriers 2m high around all the overpasses in brisbane so now when you cross over you can't see anything, it's just solid concrete. Maybe we should stand on the walkways above government offices and throw rocks until they do something about it? no, coz then we'd be thrown in jail

Barriers wont stop sh*t.

Bring in the laws where these lowlife fuks get punished in a similar stoning manner. Severe punishment is the best detterent. We arent talking about stealing a piece of bread because someone is starving to death here.
Meaningless, pointless, "entertainment"?

Fuken hell, when i think about driving to work, only to be killed by some complete and utter cowardly fuk, soo stuipd that the'd probably brag about their accomplishment that same day to their counterparts, it sends blood boiling.
It shits me how calm and polite the authorities are about it, yet if someone goes 170 in a 100 at 3am, out come the arguments, attitudes, opposition, etc etc... speed kills...

But this?

And the penalty?

22. Conduct endangering life

A person who, without lawful excuse, recklessly engages in conduct that places
or may place another person in danger of death is guilty of an indictable
offence. Penalty: Level 5 imprisonment (10 years maximum).

So if they are 18, and they did this, and fuked up someone's life, they are out and about and carefree to fuk up someone else's, at 23. Nice huh!

I know what you're saying but these kids (it's usually a young group around 14 with one 18-20yo) can't be arrested properly, juvi just makes them worse and anything less makes them a martyr and hero to the other kids. Bring back the cane, when parents were allowed to smack and cops could actually deal justice without the courts overruling or 3 rainforests worth of paperwork people were far less likely to act up. Obviously there's more room for abuse of the system by cops but that's the price of common sense and surely the training regime should elliminate or reduce those that are likely to give them a bad name?

I think it's Norway that has the system of national service? They finish school and unless they're going straight into uni then they have to serve 2 years in the defence force. when your time is up you keep your rifle and fatigues to defend the homeland if it's ever invaded. this way they have gun numbers to match most national regulars and dicipline among youths. you don't just have to become a rifleman either, people get thier trade in the forces, learn to fly or whatever. It'd solve a lot of problems.

Fuck it, I'm going to invade new zealand and make it my dictatorship. who wants to come serve/worship me?

Not laws to punish them... You got to ask the question of why would you stand on a bridge in the first place.... If they has places to go (local councils) and given a direction in life (parents / school) then they would be off doing things that arent disruptive or anti-social.

God I recon if I was to go stand on an overpass everynight to relieve the bordom of home life or whatever I was escaping from.. it propably start throwing things over the side to eliviate the boredom...

Why give these fuckwits the excuses they need to carry out this shit? Very few people that have no amenities take up these activities so you can't blame the circumstances, these people should not be allowed to breathe. While I do support the position that there should be things for them to do in their area, there are plenty of thing to do if you want to.

I had the same on the train the other day on way back from central to the coast , some wanker decided it would be funny to throw a rock at the train window luckily no one was injured ,, train delayed to clean the mess up then move us out of the affected carriage to find a seat or some where to stand on train already at %160 of its load capacity then stop at another station to change trains, inconsiderate assholes need to be made liable when caught ...

Diifferent people do things for different reasons. Where I grew up on the outskirts of the city in an area that had until recently been sugar cane fields and was surrounded by bush, creeks etc there was no excuse for boredom. But still, someone i knew back then decided to throw a brick off the bridge aiming to get it in the back of the tipper truck trundling down below busy building a six lane freeway. He was lucky because it did go in the back (still gave the driver a bit of a jolt I reckon). If it hadn't, and gone bad, he would probably have been dumbstruck by his realization of the size of f..k up he would have just made. Perhaps at his age (we weren't yet teenagers) he just didn't appreciate what a risky move it was for a wee bit of fun. In fact that's probably why they don't allow 10 year olds to ride Hayabusas on public roads.
