If nterry wont do it we can always approach the guy down at biketech in lumeah, but by the sound of it terry is into promoting his business so hell probably jump at the chance!

My first choice would be Terry since he's already met some of us, but James sounds great too!

How do I contact Terry Hays? Where is his workshop?

He is out at Walacia.

Not sure Terry would be the man to see about setting up suspension for trackday punters. He is a specialist, therefore his services cost big $$$$$$$

It depends on what you want in setting up your suspension.
If its just a ballpark figure your looking for, there is enough of us here with sufficient experience to just have a BBQ somwhere and make a day of checking each others base line figures, namely sag. Thats the starting point. If you can`t get the numbers that your looking for or suggested numbers, your up for spings.

If we enlist the services of a professional as a group, it will run into big $$$$$$$.
Unless you know precisely what you want from pouring potentially big money
into your bikes suspension, the outcome for disappointment may exist.

the bbq is a great idea mick for base line settings....could be a prob for the guys with track only bikes, but they can always trailer them to the bbq...
now to find someone to put a bbq on...ill be doin one in a couple months if i ever sell a bike and buy a house!!!

I can setup a BBQ here.. but I'm in Wollongong... I have all the tools needed and got a TV, and the originals of the suspension setup school :)

I went to Frank Pons, he's up there with Terry Hays.. he charged $600 for forks and shock revalve for track duties.

Kat00 is spot on... setup sag, which can be done here, then we can get your bikes front rebound close to spot on here, comp will be ballpark as will rear comp, rear rebound can be closely set on the spot. Review after your next track day and we can get the comp settings spot on (so long as your riding / lap times are consistent)

Track only bikes arent too much of a problem, once you learn how to do the basics you can apply it to your trackie at home (with help from the wife/friend etc)... best to bring the bike down but no so bad

Wollongong too far??

Awesome Dungy !! its a nice ride through the Nasho for most of our buddies here.

p.s. you know that tyre changer setup I've been working on... a bit of welding and big thanks to wiccad for arranging delivery of the polyethylene and I now have a PERFECT absolutely no scratch tyre changing station at home.... perfect for the slicks now I can swap them myself in a matter of minutes.

Sounds great. We didn't actually discuss adjusting our suspension, but rather wanted to sit and be lectured about what exactly rebound, static sag, etc is...

I've had mates explain it several times, but I still don't understand when I need more of it or less of it... so we figured a professional could explain/teach it to us and then we could go for the services ($$$) if we wanted to.

BBQ sounds like a good start.
