Found a nail in the tyre, with 3 punctures already patched and the front at the wear limit, thought it was best to roll up the sleeves.
purchased the no-mar bar from the states after ripping the bead with tyre levers at the start of the year and ended up taking the wheel to the shops. expensive lesson.

never used another bar so cant comment about others but the no-mar bar made it so easy.
the only problem is i havent mounted my home made wheel changer yet to working on the floor you cant really use the no-mar with your hip to turn but even hobbling over it was still fine. struggled with the front tyre at first but after you get the hang of it the rear was easy.

no need to go to the shop for them to scratch my wheels anymore

What was the cost Ian, I'd love to have got the no-mar mount/demount bar itself!!!!!

$180USD delivered. so with the exchange rates atm around $190AUD
a bit pricey but i went halves with a mate. plus its lifetime warranty on the no-mar parts, send in your old chewed ones and they send you a new pack

AU$200 is pretty good for the product it is....

I asked Ken too if I could get a bar considering I already have (different brand) changer but yep, no go... he's a top guy and it's a top product so if I hadn't already bought a changer I would have gone in with a mate for the no-mar... back then they just weren't available out here.
