Woohoo!! Nice one mate!! You rode really well all weekend. I enjoyed watching your races. Pity Amy and #31 got around you in T9 in the 1st vid. Admittedly Amy was into the 39s for much of the w/e, which is actually rather impressive...!

you don't see it in the video but the rider in front of me held me up (almost parked his bike on the apex and could have gotten off it for a chat) and they just rode around the outside of me

but yeah 39's is going some! damn R6's way to fast ;)

Yeah I was almost certain it was Amy's first foray into the 39s. Good on her! It's an impressive achievement.

damn R6's way to fast ;)

The total laff-riot in that statement is that you have a perfectly good, totally set up, ready-to-ride, race-prepped, Zeno-suspended, super-duper, low kilometre, latest model R6 AT HOME SITTING IN YOUR GARAGE!!!!!!!

Gulp, just had an awful thought..... You didn't actually have it AT THE TRACK, did you????? As a 'wet' bike, maybe? Or a 'spare', in case of an incident? :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

You could've been doing 39s too!!!!!

JESUS WEPT!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

(Just playin' with ya mate! Actually, I was kinda pleased to see the old girl looking so good out there... Brought back fond memories)

Also (seeing as this thread has kinda gone on a couple of tangents), speaking of Amy's times, I was recently browsing through the times from the June 2009 St George round at the Creek (that I actually entered, although I don't have vivid memories of). I'm just trying to see where I'll end up in the pack in 2 weeks time....

It's very interesting to look at some of the times people were doing. Fourex sample, Amy was knocking out times in the very low 40s, with a best time of a 40.08. So it has taken the best part of a year-and-a-half for her to better her PB by 0.8 of a second. (She did her best time of a 39.245 in Race 1 on Saturday).

In contrast, I was slowly heading closer to a flat 50 mid last year, and finally dropped into the 46s on the last lap of the last race on Saturday. So would a disinterested observer conclude that I had improved more as a rider than Amy?? :bum1smiley: :stirthepot:

in some respects you probably have improved more. (good to see you back on something you are comfortable on!)

but unfortunatly the faster you get the harder the improvement comes, trust me.

She was riding 2 races back to back (FX600 - FOz) jumping from a 600 onto a 1000 and back again.
she's just quick on those pink machines.
