Well,

AFter my OP crash, i have pretty much pulled my bike apart, and the only things that need replacing are.... a radiator hose, race glass, digital dash unit & the LH rear set....... It was remarkably undamaged! I pulled the forks out expecting the worst... took them in to the suspension dude, and not a thing wrong with them... so that is good news! It appears that the crash looked a hell of a lot worse than it really was! Probably evidenced by the fact i walked away from it ;)

so all i need is new race glass and the other couple of things i mentioned and it will be back onthe track....at the end of the year! I am heading overseas for 6 months as of next week... so will just order stuff while i am away, and come home to a house full of cool presents.....

Anyway, just thought I would give you guys an update... I have not been around much of late, as i have just been so busy!

Cheers :)

Good to see it's going to be back! Stick with it buddy.

Love it when things look worse then they are, you aren't hurt as much later on. Alot of the time it's the other way around and it looks small but it turns into a headache!!

Nah I won't ever go down the tent of death line again! I can hire a pro spray booth for ~$100 so will do it there! Although I may just be happy with the colour in the Gel Coat..... so will see how that comes out first.... that way there will be no spraying at all ;) actually, now i think about it, I will have to spray it... to get the tank the same colour! So i will spray it in the booth and do it in 2 pack! hmmm I will have to try and get it all sorted out when i return... I will also be putting the bike back together in my spare frame & swing arm.... as that frame is polished.... and I think it will look better with green & polished frame, than the black frame....

My rims are also polished...... but I am considering painting the spokes and centre part...... as they are too hard to polish and keep clean... and leave the outer lips polished..... thoughts.....?

Swabio,

Great news........... It's amazing when you look at the photo's that the damage bill wasn't a lot higher.

As Dave said............. go buy yourself a lottery ticket. :ayyy:

Mate........ I'm good. Just pissed off that I can't ride. Mind you the weather ain't helping.

My parts are at the smash repairs currently getting fixed.

I have opted to get a new spray job done on the Z. It will be a new Blue Pearl Metalic in a couple of weeks.

It will be back on the road before me. But I can always look at it in the garage.

Rod,

Mate, I'm ok. Got a plate put in and I'm just waiting for the bone to knit. Should be back on the bike in about 2 months.

Nothing worse than watching from the sidelines.

Heya Swabio.

Good to hear its not all that bad and youll be back into it soon.
Oh have fun on your holiday too :ayyy:
.

My rims are also polished...... but I am considering painting the spokes and centre part...... as they are too hard to polish and keep clean... and leave the outer lips polished..... thoughts.....?

My K6 rims are also polished ( along with a few other thingies :) ) but deliberatly left the spokes and centre for this ( bit more than the lip polished on mine though) very reason. Still looks good I think, your call wether to paint over it though.

It will be back on the road before me. But I can always look at it in the garage.
Trust me, that doesnt help, I have two sitting in the garage, both perfectly rideable, but a minor detail with licence and Im :2191:
