fuk me just got email from a mate in Pattaya re: Walairot

"""spoke to Chrimbo(Walairots father Xmas)about three weeks ago. He was supposed to come down and pick a couple of fairings up, but said he was feeling a bit iffy and was going to see the Doc. I thought he was just being his usual lazy git self and said OK, whatever.

Next thing I know I get a call to say he's in hospital with liver cancer. 2 days later he's dead!

On Saturday night, Ratthapark was out with his mate at 3am, cruising along the Chonburi beach road. His mate riding a Mio(scooter), with Feem(Walairot) sitting on the back. They crashed and hit a concrete post. His mate died at the scene and Feem was in a come.

He's now woken up and I spoke with his younger brother last night who said he's awake, talking and getting better slowly. He's got massive brain swelling. Not sure if he'll be 100% when he finally comes out of hospital.""""

Ratthapark Wilairot.
He's the only Thai rep in the motogp series. Possibly any international series. Just got back from 9 days in Phi Phi and a couple in Phucket. As chaotic as it seems the treaffic seems to work over there.
Hope the dude makes a full recovery.

Thailand is also the country that more Australians die in than any other apart from their own.

Yeah agreed , at first it seems like Chaos but it seems to have some order. There is little to no road rage, people just fit in where they can and the cops just let everything pass by. Make our police state look a little ridiculous.

I can believe the scooter fact. Over there it is the only way to travel and every man and his dog has one (note that they are also reasonably priced over there) but safety gear is non existent.
