Im looking for some boots and had come acrtoss these. On saun i got out bidded on these boots GAERNE's :cursing: . No bids on em so i thought i was home and hosed espically with my small feet. And they were matching colour for my gixxer too. Plus they were like new and a good price.

But now ive seen these boots. Sidi's. There black which is ok as they can match anything. Sound like a women now. hahaha Only thing i dont like is the freight cost as its courier but ill live with that and knowing i guess they should be ok getting to me.

I would like something that will have good ankle protection as ive got a bit of dicky left ankly now due to a dirt bike. Also dont want to spend a fortune as im still out of work too. :(

Sidi are a very good boot in my opinion, I have the Vertigo's and are awesome fit and finish, $450 though.

Those seem to be an older 'base model'.

But still, even Joe Rockets were going at Action for $180 and that was considered a massive bargain (even though they aren't anything spectacular), so $150 for Sidi's is good for the money.

I think I seen similar ones to the first link at action for $150

I have tried on a few pairs of Sidi's and they are very, very comfy.

If your going to do track work, toe sliders come in handy- I got sloppy with my foot position and scraped the right toe slider a couple of times. Its comforting knowing you have metal scraping...

Make sure you try the boots on before you buy!!! You will waste more then you save if they are not the right fit.

I've got 2 pairs of SIDI boots one in red the other in blue. They're both the same model and I won't use anything else as I find them very comfy. Prob best to go to a shop and try them before you buy them :ayyy:

I have 2 pairs of Gaerne, one for touring , the other for track riding. They are a narrow boot & a little tight for the first few rides but very comfy was worn in. Good price too.

so the gaerne's are norrow? Well that might be a good thing for me as my legs aint the giggest cannons on the block. lol Im a small little guy so they might have to be considered. Theres a pair of black alpinestars on ebay for $20 bucks in Penrith which aint a race boot but i might grab these as there cheep and also loook ok for more the touring style for cold mornings and so on. Also for $20 ya cant go wrong. Im going to try these on and see if they fit ok today or tommorow. But im still looking for some nice boots that fit me.

My Gaernes are very narrow. But like has been said, they fit like a glove (boot?) now they are worn in. They have the metal toe slider bit which makes cool warning sparks just before you fall off. :p
I'm not a big fan of alpine stars even though my last set lasted 3 years, 4 stacks and a few hndred thousand k's before ultimate disintergration.
