Well I was going to go to race school on the 9th, but since you offered it up free with the moment, obviously my eyes lit up and thought I'd give the race school a miss and go to Monday 2nd.

However, if you want to give it to someone else that's fine, I'll just go to the race school. Basically, I can only take one of those days off. Infact, just give it to someone else. I don't like being amidst tension and confusion. I'll take the 9th off instead and go race school.

Are we able to have an onbike camera @ EC ? Nothing on the website stating that we are not allowed.

Good question... I have heard Brouggy doesnt allow cameras and laptimers, but others can confirm... I'd suggest not bothering to setup tho. Actually, PM lilninja.. he'd know.

nah they wont let ya have a camera mounted, but if ya have a lipstick or one of those little cams and put the big one in the tail with leads then youll be right...but if they see ya with a normal cam on the tank they will stop ya and make ya take it off...

When I bought Mono's R1, he had the pickup on the top triple, but its best reception is on the ducktail as no arm will be in the way, and its higher to see.. err... the pit wall.. :)

Tis easy to do, and you're already good with the 'iron ,.. soldering iron of course :)
When you open the transmitter (4 small phillips screws) you see the connector is very similar to the old CDROM audio connectors in old PC's. same connector both ends, so I can make you one up too... measure out the length and I'll take care of it.

Thanks Prettyboy, I can't take a pic because I used the last one I had on the cable thats now mounted :)

But... if you open an old PC look at the back of the CDROM drive, it'll have a thin 4 wire lead (usually) grey, with white connectors that are only like 6mm across, tiny things... that provides the stereo audio to the sound card (only useful if you play CD's in the computer) its usually about 30cm long. The new ones have black connectors at the ends, and are slightly larger, they dont help.

If you don't want to ride under Fezz's name then I'll ask them to swap you over on the day if you like. The reason we couldn't swap the riders over was that it was after office hours when the request was made by lilninja. We won't be able to talk to ECRD's until Monday morning.

I am so tired..........but it was a good day all in all

....apart from my bike braking down after 3 laps in the first session :cursing:
....so load the bike back on the trailer drive to Castle Hill back of the trailer to the mechanics,half hour later load it back up and drive back to the creek and unload again :headshake:

....from there the day got better.After my dash to the mechanics I only missed one session :) the following session's my bike ran perfect and i shaved a second of my P.B :ayyy:

That was a pretty awesome day. Bugger all people in each session and heaps of laps to boot. My first few sessions were as little off my regular pace but by the third I had the added incentive of dicing with Dungbeetle, Striker, SNOZ and later in the day JasonBW.
The 4th session was awesome with Dungy, Striker,SNOZ and myself on a good pace. I managed a PB time of 1:47.53 towards the end of the session when I had SNOZ ahead of me. It really helps having a faster rider in front of you as you can follow his lines and push the pace a little.
It was good meeting heaps of new members and everyone was having a ball. Props to Irena for getting back out at EC for the first time after her turn 2 stack a while ago. After a nervous start she settled into it well following Vinnie and by the end of the day she was keen as to come back out again on the 28th July.:mod_smilie_rockwoot
Well done to Dungy, Vinnie, lilninja on setting PB lap times throughout the day. I'll see ya's all again on the 28th July :ayyy:

Hi Guys,
Thanks to everyone who organised and then re-organised yesterday's ride. Great to meet a nice bunch of people with a common interest. Had a great day on and off the track.

It took a few sessions to get to know the way around again and get my brain into gear and then by session 3 get into it. The track was in great nick as can be seen by alot of people doing PB's.

Great fun riding around with the A group boys. We were all around the same pace so it was just awesome to do so many laps trying to pass and not be passed. Also great to know the old '89 model can still put up a fight.

I know I'll have to be back for another RAT's day real soon as I'm still buzzing about it the next day!

Had a great day I spent the whole day in C grade and 'thought' i was doing well as me and Renesis were pretty much passing everybody out there in C grade. The last session was interesting though, got absolutely smashed by the B grade guys ahahah, seems like i have alot of learning to do!

On that topic, I reckon I am always in the fastest 3 - 4 riders in B1 but not sure if I should go to A since apparently you should be under 1:50/1:48 for Fast, but I want to since it'll make me quicker. I am lapping around 1:53 - 1:54 hmmmm

Good guys like Bigdog pull ya round for a PB if you go to A group. 1:53-1:54 is plenty fast enough for what I saw yesterday, so long as you're comfy getting shown a wheel and trusting the riders around you then go A.

I've heard though some days theres a bigger difference in speed between A and B, but move and up and judge for yourself. You'll drop your lap times for sure!
