just got an email from lyndal...is anytone interested in marshalling or going to watch?
Hi Alex
I was just writing to see if any of your members would like to be officials at the next round of the East Coast Road Race Series which is at Eastern Creek on the 21st July and 22nd July.
they get a great spot to watch the racing and we feed them.
This should be a big meeting we hope to have around 140 riders.
We are also offering the same deal as at Oran Park for your members which is a $5.00 ahead entrance fee for the meeting.
Do you have show and shine days for your riders?
may be you could have one on this day.
Thanks
Lyndel Butler

most of the marshelling posts have shelter at ec so you wont be stuck in the sun....
turn 2 is always entertaining.....

Well when you come through scrutineering, you make sure to say g'day as well, I will be there. :)
After that, I don't want to see you again as I will be doing pickup and if we do see you again it normally aint good news.
Oh yeah, if people like there exotic bikes it may be worth coming out as there will be a genuine 1996 Honda NSR500V in attendance and racing in the Retro class.

yeh he is serious jason.. marshal at 2 race meets and your rewarded for your efforts and given a free track day with circuit breakers.. its a great deal, and also heps james out as the races can run without marshalls..
dungbeetle
18-07-2007, 04:39 PM
only the ECRR series tho that james runs....
theres 5 races a year

Huh, when did he change that, used to be 2 martial days = $50 OP trackday or halfprice raceschool. At least thats what was on the flyer at round 1.
Tiss cool though, just means I've got 2 freebie trackdays up my sleve. Once I get time to actually get to one that is.

18-07-2007, 05:20 PM
this is what lyndel tells me so thats all i can go on!! half price race school is same value as a whole track day:D

With Wiccad here, it was always advertised at the start of the year as being that for every 2 days you marshall at an ECRR meet (across separate meets) then you get a half price track day, not a freebie.
If james has changed it then all well and good but it would be worth checking again before ayone gets to excited (although it may be a Rats special deal I suppose.

Gary is correct. Marshall for at least 2 meetings and it's a half-price trackie day! Oh, and thanks, Triumph for coming up and saying hello in the pits yesterday.
That 2001 model NSR500V-Twin that Johnny Allen was racing is a jewel. Only 70 odd made altogether and only a handful now still running. His is the only one in Australia.

They said at the riders briefing they weren't allowed unless you spoke to ARDC or race control, didn't see any gas bbqs being used though:confused1:
