Hey all,
I need to get to Bellingen in two weeks for a bike rally, The old ones are going up the free way on a ute and i think my 1098 and i have a date with the putty rd. I was thinking of doing the putty, through Muswelbrook,up to Tamworth,(Quick boot skoot) and then either, Walcha, Wauchope and then up the coast to Bellingen or from Tamworth up to Armidale and across to Dorigo and to Bellingen. Would like to arrive in the light,
Any one got any suggestion or recommend any roads up that way that don't know about and must do?

I Live in Bello and the road through here (Waterfall way) up the mountain to Dorrigo is pretty hard to beat :mod_smilie_rockwoot
Also the road west of Port Macquarie takes you through Long Flat (nice fast open road) through Gingers Creek (great twisties) on the way to Walcha.
Look me up when you are here if you like and I'd love to head up the mountain with ya's
Cheers

G,day Chunks .Try putty to Singleton,Cresford,Dungog then head towards Stroud, Then turn left to Gloucester,up Thunderbolts way to Walcha then Oxely hwy through to Pacific hwy. Up to Macksville, take a left to Bowraville strait to Bellingen. You be there in the arvo Buggered, Lots of corners. Watch out for hwy patrol on the oxley,Bottom of mountain to Wauchope. Especially on weekends, 120km and youll be right.

make sure you take in waterfall way from Armidale, you can either boot scoot via bathurst or bike scoot via the oxley (i'd take the oxley).

:pisslaugh: now you're talking.

Is there anyone out there (besides OzVFR memebers) who would actually do such a ride?
