Hey guys, a lot of you know me and the bike I ride but for you who dont I ride a Triumph 675. I have done a few trackdays now and Im hooked! As of late I have been looking at turning into a dedicated track bike but Im not sure weather it is a good move or not! So im throwing it out there! Do you reckon I should take it off the road or keep it for multiple duties?
There are the obvious pros and cons of both sides but just looking for opinions?
So the polls are open Rats

If its your only bike, then no keep it as a roadie, but buy raceglass etc for the track days.
Ofcourse if you can score another bike or have another one, then different story.

I couldn't live without a roadie, and I'm finally brave enough to put it on the track. reckon you're better off with dual-purpose, best of both worlds. -J.

buy a dedicated trackbike, only way.
go look for a rep write off, lots of them for like 5k..... simply with only cosmetic damage, just look properly and you will be fine.
best buy you will get.

Buy Jace's mates K2
keep it as a road and buy a track bike, its cheaper and you tend not to worry to much if you fu*k it

Yeah, I have to agree. Don't run the risk of binning the 675. Buy a real cheap trackie and then you can have fun on both the track and the road with confidence.
Or, if you can't afford that, go into partnership with someone and buy one between you. Just make sure he'd be riding in a different grade to you most times so you both get to ride it.
Don't make the same mistake as me. It can turn into an expensive exercise if you have an off.
Buy a cheap trackie and keep the 675 for the road.
If you like riding......... you need both.

If you have the money go track bike.
But if you dont and your concerned about wrecking your rode bike, do CB schools.
From what I hear its heaps of track time with people your pace and insured!
Nb: Ask Turltle first before doing this...

I was all for just getting raceglass and crash knobbs for my 1000RR, till I got that '98 R1, what a huge difference it is to not have any fear of hurting the bike whatsoever... a cheap trackbike is just SO good!!!!!!
