Any RATS going to the EC trackday on 2nd/3rd Nov?

Last weekday ride I did at EC they actually made 3 groups instead of 4 because there were not that many people around so we got lots more time on the track, but sometimes they can be sold out..

Mick - Jarrad here from Cunningstunts - CANBERRA - I got 3-4 guys going on 3/11 - I'd like to try and make the 2 + 3/11 but am struggling to help my mates to get to the track aswell (my trailer is FULL) - If you are keen let me know and I can try and hook something up - might involve you guys hiring a trailer between another 1-2 ppl - would you be down for somethingf like that?

Looks like most would like the 3rd of Nov which is fine for me.
Now i've never done this before, but could we get our usual trackday coordinators to arrange a RATS event or is this one an individual booking and we just meet up together?

The RATs events are scheduled, your able to use this site though to get numbers and communicate, but the RATS discount cant be used (I've now heard how much effort it takes to organise a RATs event, these admins must be bloody accountants... they do a lot of behind the scenes stuff)

Go Hire up here do a beaut 2 road bike trailer (3 dirt bike one) for $47 a day here... try to negiotiate though a late (day before) pickup and early return (day after) without paying extra :) some places let you do that.

sounds like the car with no tow bar is not only a problem for you but also for my other mates trying to get up there.......

I can probably get you an enclosed trailer cheap as for the day between the 2of you but neither of you can tow it! :BangHead:

I'll keep hunting around see what I can come up with.....

I have been successful in finding transport for the 4 of us from Canberra to EC 3/11. We're only doing the Sat atm and it's unlikely to change

We'll need to have a chat about how to arrange getting up there etc........

Good stuff.
I didn't book a garage as i'm not sure how many RATS are going to this day. I think it's only like $25 to get one so might organise this.

just get there early and grab one mate! we never use to book them when we went before joining rats, just ask them which ones have been booked and grab one that hasn't!

Tried to book this morning but it says "waiting list only" both in B and B1. Unfortunately today and tomorrow very busy at work (my Boss in town), will call on Thursday to book.

Hmmm... I had ignored this because group B2 and C were full, looks like this changed. It would be nice to squeeze another ride day before PI, but then I might have tyre issues by the time I get to PI (have done two track days on them already...), so I'm just not sure...

No way Turtle. They let you out a few at a time, so that by the time the last one leaves the pit area you're already half way down the track. Plus with you being faster, you'll be lapping riders after a lap and a half IMO

Yeah there were a couple of us today. The first session in the morning was super slippery. As the rain slowed up and the track started to dry, it became more fun as we could go abit quicker.

It was great to meet the Canberra guys. See you at a trackday soon.

Dark - Great to meet ya mate. We all had a ball once the dry line appeared, I just really feel for the guys that
a) didn't come cause of the rain - cause by 10-11 it was pretty damned good.
b) crashed in the very first session only to see it dry up later....

I was pretty happy with the day - the GSXR went great and Saturday's News reports of the multiple SCUD launches where soon uncovered to be the unadultered sound of my Leo Vince SBK.... :ayyy:
