There is a racing / coaching guru amongst us, he's down in Melbourne but know the NSW scene well... he's also good at setting up racers in what they need as its his business and is a qualified California Superbike School instructor.

We can use the Rat Chat system one night soon to have a Q&A with the expert, all your questions can be answered live, for all to see. I've discussed this a couple of weeks ago and he's fine for it, we just need to tee up a time.

Can I have a quick show of hands who would be available if we were to host a RATChat night on Racing, preparation, expectations and topics you would like discussed around Racing?

I'd expect we'd start it around 7:00pm to 8:00pm, but the times will be based around his availability.

How much do you think would it cost to hire him as a RATS instructor at one of our Ride Days?

I wouldnt count on that as an option, if you want expert training I'd recommend the superbike school series of levels...

But maybe one day RATS will have enough weight to arrange it's own RATS Superbike School... why not..

Level 1: staying upright

Level 2: going one handed

Level 3: .........

who wants to continue.....? :lmao:

I don't have access to Chat but I'd like to hear some of these ideas in the forums area.........

I am racing for the first time next year so this would be great!!

We could change the method to be forum based, any objections? The admins can start a new thread and we can all chat that way.

It's been pointed out to me that if we use the forum then its available after the night also for people to read up... so its easier then for people who arent able to make that particular night, or have trouble with their PC's not working with the chat system.

Might be an idea to ask members to post their questions into a thread / question bucket, then our guru can answer the questions in his own time & post em up when done. Im sure most of us would learn something from other peoples questions & answers?

I like the forum idea cause I can read everyone else's questions/answers which may solve my questions before I have to ask em!

We need to set up some protocol though, to give the expert a chance to answer one question and move to the next without a million questions and comments arriving at once.

If we could pool all the Qs into a thread & maybe close it off with access from only mods & our guru, he can then answer all the Qs in his own time & then re-open the thread when he is done?

Is this possible?
