nah it's a fault code that's coming up on the PC3 software...

bl**dy died after i did the firmware update.. now the power commander doesn't communicate with the laptop...

everything else works but...

just no RPM showing up on the laptop and the PC3 ain't reading any maps..

BTW - got the until working again....

turns out that the new versions you don't need to update all the software... if you do update all - it locks the unit, so you need to re-install proper updates... weird huh?

It also does that when you try to update firmware & have the ignition module plugged in from what Ive read.

why bother with it anyway? If your pc works and it's mapped right, I'd just leave it alone, it ain't like you're gonna get 2 more h.p from updating it etc. LOL

bah it's the same as the temp thread etc, JUST F'KIN RIDE YOUR BIKES. I wouldn't ever bother if every time I got on I qwondered if I had the latest pc update, if the temp was between the usual 2-5deg differences, and the noise I heard for a split second is now gone, what does it mean? etc etc etc. All to hard. JUST RIDE, if the bike stops. worry, until then, don't. LOL

Hmmm...dunno I kinda agree and disagree....

Yes, Just ride the damned bike BUT if you got PC3 and a laptop, why not change the maps > particularly for when you're riding at day Wakefield, then go to PI or EC > the difference may be neglible but it'll still run better, crisper and cleaner. Also, no fouled plugs from running too rich.

What I'd prefer to see with the PC3 is the ability to load say 3 maps that are switchable at your finger tips. You could either load 3 different tracks that have totally different sea levels OR you could do the standard suzuki thing and give yourself 3 different maps all with varying peak power levels?

Mine is the K5 so I missed out on the standard option > wondering if my PC3 can do the same job?

Pretty sure the K7/8 uses the secondaries to limit power..
