RATS Group Photo, Saturday 16/2/08

Our group photo will be taken on Saturday, 16 February at Blues Point Reserve, North Sydney.

There is a list of attendees at the bottom of this post. Please post up if your name isn't on the list and I will add you on.

Depending on where you live, there should be a meet up point around your area - details to be confirmed about this. We will be meeting at Harry's, Kings Cross at 4.15pm so we can have a chat and a bite to eat before heading off to Blues Point.

Lou and BusaBoy have both offered to take the photos for us. The photo needs to be taken in daylight or dusk at the latest. If the weather is cloudy we will need to get there about 5.30pm. If the weather is sunny then we need to get there at about 6.30pm.

I wasn't there last year but I imagine it would take us a little while to get the bikes, us and the camera set up ready to go.

Meeting point details:

Jasonbw is arranging a ride in from the south. Anyone living down south should PM Jason.

West and North West Sydney siders will be meeting at the Eastern Creek Shell at 3.00pm, leaving at 3.15pm sharp!!

Otherwise, you can meet us at Harry's Pie Cafe, Woolloomoolloo at 4.15pm, leaving to go to Blues Point at 4.30pm sharp!!

Make sure your bike is washed, you have your RATS shirt on, your hair is neat and you clean your teeth!! :lmao:

Captain a few of us are members of both forums. IR will organise a Harry's cafe run to co incide with the RATS photo. Those IR members can then ride up together & those that are RATS members can cruise over with you guys for the pic.

I was going to do that but shit if your doing it, it'll save me the time and effort of carrying my gear, beside you'd most probably have better equipment then i.

Its easy to get low lighting but its hard to get all the RATS to stand still long enough.

We ended up having 30 bikes and about 48 people turn up tonight........a big effort to everyone involved,especially the members from the south :clap:

Everyone (except Pan :headshake: ) meet up at Harrys and from there we went up the Cahill, over the bridge to N/Sydney.The sight of all those bikes going over the bridge looked impressive.From there we went down to Blues Point,were of course we meet up with Pan :headshake: .When we got to the car park there was a Japanese bride and groom having photos taken with Pans bike :headshake: and standing in the distance is Pan grinning like a proud father :lmao: .The photographer went wild when he seen all the bikes and quickly ushered the newly weds to stand in front of the the group so he could use us as a back drop.

After that we rode our bikes though the barriers and into the park.A cop car came by had a look and probably thought thats to hard to deal with,so he drove off.We parked the bikes as tight together as we could stood around them and said cheese like any good RAT should when getting there photo taken and most importantly we have to thank Lou aka Louise for a OUTSTANDING job in taking our group photo.Love your work Lou :ayyy:

Hello from Singapore. There are some great shots there. Looks like I missed out on a good time.

Well what an eventful day!! :eyecrazy: From my call to Vinnie and Kat00 saying "I'm so sorry, I can't make it tonight." :headshake: to missing the ride in from EC Shell to Busaboy's alternator packing it in just before the Harbour Bridge Tunnel. :cursing: I had to leave him and his camera gear behind as I took my life in my hands getting back out into the crazy drivers going into the tunnel at ridiculous speeds. :eyecrazy: Anyway, I made it to Harry's albeit an hour late at 5.30pm.

Then off we rode to Blues Point. Going across the bridge with 30 odd bikes in front was a sight to be seen. :ayyy: When we got to Blues Point there were some nice shots taken of us with the happily married couple then into the park we rode and set up the bikes. Along come the boys in blue to check us out who obviously didn't know we were a pack of RATS and they left us alone. :clap: Took us a while to set up all the bikes just right and just as we were standing with our bikes just about to have our photo, along comes some freak on a little scooter doing ballet stunts on it!! :lmao: How funny was that!! He left us alone and Lou took some photos. Vinnie and Jacs took it upon themselves to do some special poses with us. :p Then most of us stood and chatted for a while and some of us went up the local pub for a few :beer: . Then the scooter freak came back in a dinghy full of kids doing doughies just behind us in the water. :confused1: A few of us left and then the others came back from the pub. A couple more happy snaps were taken and then away we rode for some Krispy Kremes. :ayyy:

Thanks so much to everyone for turning up and making it another memorable RAT event. Thanks heaps to Louise and Tarrasque for taking all the photos which I'm sure will be awsum. :clap: I'm sorry I was late and held everyone up for so long!!
