great idea .. woudlnt work for me personally, but I can say Ive seen heaps of pillions holding on in this fashion.
My misses gets a jesus christ bar at the back & some of my jacket to hold onto.

Didnt they have the same thing on the two seater Yamaha Motogp bike ??? Freakin unreal.. Turtle I thought the same but a normal pilly can easily enough get their palms flat on the tank, maybe youd be suprised?
