As you guys are in contact with the OP and EC operators, would it be possible to request that chairs be provided? Surely it would be easy to stack them up in a corner of a garage ....

You no thats not a bad request, Bcause if you can,t bring one and you,re standing around inbeween rides you are going to get tired as the day goes on. If you have a fall because you were tired we all loose.

There are HEAPS of chairs upstairs in the rooms, next time were out someone should ask Eastern Creek themselves if we can grab a few... cut out the middle man :D
Their office is straight above the first lot of stairs ... find the first toilet block / coke vending machine, look above that.

I'm slow, but not that slow.
I went upstairs looking for a chair, but all rooms were locked .... I guess I could have asked, fair enough.

Nothing to do with being slow, they're often out...they're mobile number is on the door, so next person on a trackday see what you can arrange? Good idea Captain!

As stupid as it may seem, one issue may well be cost.
The tracks tend to charge for pretty much everything so don't be syrprised if there is an associated cost to the organiser and naturally, that cost may need to be passed onto the rider.

ask the e/c guy that scrutineers your bikes in the garrage and they can talk to the ardc guys for you (good chance it'll be me this weekend). this is not a promise of being able to get you all chairs though

when i used to ride there.. i used to head over to the canteen and grab one of the many milk crates.. simple, free and yet very effective

you can always strap a camp chair to your bike and take your own.
Did that last time. Will do it again just in case we can't secure plastic chairs...

I'm coming up by car for this Sat- happy to throw a few extra fold up chairs in if anyone needs one- (in case can't get from EC!) Perhaps others in cars could also bring an extra? You'll recognise one of our track bikes- one with the' smiley' face . Just come by and ask.

Captain just bring an inflatable chair (I'm not kidding either) from somewhere like the Reject shop. Inflate on arival (byo 12v inflater from said shop helps) and deflate on departure. Their cheap so if it gets a blow out buy another. Alternatively take a folding chair strapped to a ventura/luggage rack. Many do this, including myself as I dont own a car.

Gazujc Hit the nail on the head. Costs. Purchase, Setup, Clean up
And they will pass those costs onto the rider.
RATs has discussed purchasing fold up chairs fro the members in the past but its the same thing.....costs. One day, we hope.
Next time I`m talking to Steve Broughy I`ll mention this to him......and then duck for cover.

It's a good idea! Perhaps on the costs / setup / cleanup idea, if we could borrow some of the upstairs ones, set them up ourselves, and agree to clean up at the end of the day, it may be a goer?
