Spurred on by some recent Honda issues.. I had a looksy at the lastest recalls.

Triumph Street Triple

Buell should have stuck with the dinosaur harley engine rather than the rotax:confused1: , do aprillia have the same problem, dont they use the same engine ? .

Aprilia 1000s (RSV and Tuono) and 750s (Shiver / Dorsoduro) do indeed use Rotax engines, but not the same as the Buell. I've heard of similar early problems in the 1000cc mill, but these have been around so long now that they have it pretty much sorted.

Yeah, not so sure about Beull's quality control. I read a post on one of the US forums by a guy who had a couple in a row. It went for about four pages, the problems he had with them. Shocking stuff, from memory.

It'd be a lot of fun having the back wheel lock up at full tilt in fifth gear... :(
