New 2009 Bikes (availability)

Hi guys,
Just wanted to know if anyone has any ideas in the 2009 bikes and their availability dates approx. I am looking at the new R1 or Gixxer 1000. Ive got the white 2007 R1 and although this is a great bike I am eager to start test riding.

I've heard March for the 09 R1......that was from Yamaha at Taren Point (can't remember the shop's name)

The YZF-R1 will be released in February and the GSX-R1000 will be out in April at this stage.

New ZX-6R will be this month (already out maybe?) and new KTM RC8R will be January.

Don't know about Australia, but it's not looking so good in the US. According to hellforleather:

2009 KTM RC8 only available until December 31, 2008 through dealers

We're a little taken back by this, but KTM has just informed us that the RC8 will only be sold via their Priority Delivery Deposit Program, which ends on New Year's Eve. We're not terribly surprised that the 1190 is being sold in limited numbers, or that sales are doing well for them. It's just that, well, the market isn't exactly helping make Santa's job any easier this year. At least not for us. While there's no word on the even more amazing RC8R, we suspect the same rule applies, which means that Santa will not be putting one of those in our stockings either.

cant wait for the new 09 R1, I'm looking at ditching the 08 around sept next year and getting me an 09. Might do it sonner if the prices reach a level I'm happy with.

The new RSV4 will be available in two versions known as the RSV4 R and RSV4 Factory. The first model to reach Australian shores is expected to be the Factory model due to arrive in July 2009. The RSV4 R is not expected until February 2010. Australian pricing is expected to be announced in November,
