Looks like alice has pulled sponsorship from the alice team ducati (mika kallio and Canepa) so they are keeping Kallio and Canepa is heading over to partner Sete Giberinau at Onde 2000 who were looking for a second rider anyway

Alice is not a huge sponsor but imagin if some of the bigger sponsors decided to pull out, like say Repsol. They are after all an OIL company and they price of oil has dropped to around $40 a barrel which must really be hurting there bottom lines.

MotoGP seems to be really in trouble. Lackluster racing (apart from a few rounds) really only 3 or 4 riders having any chance of winning a race, huge costs, sponspors starting to pull out, manufacturers reportdly starting to pull out and motogp's main star, rossi, wanting to ride against bayliss in superbikes

It seems like the begining of the end. They will have to change thing to survive I feel.

I hate free to air coverage of the bike races. I know foxtel isnt the cheapest thing out there but it really is worth it if your into your bikes. 125cc, 250cc MOTOGP, SBK, SS plus every now an then you get a AMA or BSB race plus you usually get the superstock 1000 race between the superbike races. Not to mention all the dirt track and dirt bike stuff if your into thta as well. PLUS they do re runs incause you miss it.

+1 It is worth it for SBK alone - and Foxtel's now offering 12 month contract + 1 month free

if you get it bundled through Telstra you get IQ to try for the first month and the premium channel pack for the first 3 months free.

We're switching from Optus this month!

Not only Alice ... Rizla is also pulling it's sponsorship (valued at 3.5 million Euros). Not looking good.

Have a gander at this article - a few interesting ideas on how they could survive.

Whoa, can someone expand on this?

I thought Bayliss retired?

I'm pretty out of the loop.

MotoGP is in a bad way.. I just recently watched 2004/2005 season reviews - the racing is spectacular, the bikes are loose, and there's more than one line through a corner..
