    Spine protectors

Can any of the more seasoned people suggest some back protectors

Im aware that there are a lot out there but im looking for something easy to use and comfortable as well as offering good protection. A mate said his dainese was annoying (too long) and they have brought out a slightly smaller one. I think its more that he's a short ass!

A mate needs to sort out a suit so I'll be going along with him to check out back protectors.

    Money isnt really an issue

I have a Dainese BAP back protector which is so comfortable I don't even know I'm wearing it. I would ask Swabio which one he has as he hit the tyre wall big time at Oran Park on the 29th and lived to tell the tail

I know you found another thread but in case its not mentioned... what leathers have you got Marcus? I didnt notice before but my Alpinestars jacket (its a 2 piece setup - I use it every day on my commute) has a pocket on the inside with a crap foam protector. I removed that and put a BAP3 like Biggie in there. I couldnt say I dont notice it but it never gives me a comfort problem. Goota say these babys should be compulsory for track events.

    +1 on the UFO

I love it. Doesn't bother me at all! I wear it as much as possible, even during the week if I have 20kms to cover on a trip, unless it's really hot and sweaty.

I feel silly NOT wearing it!

mate i remember going for a ride on new years day of 2006, i think it reached the 50degree mark out west here, and i still wore all my gear including the back protector (mental note: dont do it again without having more then a 2ltr camel back )

Knox, absolutely brilliant if youve got a short neck like me as ALL the others stop me from doing hed checks as they foul the back of my helmet/s. Not cheap I'll admit but I can wear it all day without a problem. Extra large straps if you need that (Beer gut, or maybe Kellz for the next couple of weeks), but more importantly they come in 7 diff sizes.

I tried some on but forgot to take my helmet!

One things for sure, I need ones with adjustable straps!

Anything over $150 is suprizingly comfy, I doubt I will notice its on while riding but will check out the fit with a helmet
